EXPERIENCE

I have extensive experience supporting autistic children and learners with dyslexia, ADHD, developmental coordination disorder, speech and language challenges, and social, emotional, and mental-health needs. My work also includes supporting children with cerebral palsy, epilepsy, brain injuries, visual impairments, and complex medical conditions, as well as non-verbal learners, refugees, and asylum seekers. This breadth of experience allows me to tailor each programme with empathy, flexibility, and a deep understanding of diverse needs.

ROOTED IN EMPATHY.
GUIDED BY EXPERTISE.

Every child learns differently. My approach begins with understanding. Taking the time to listen, connect, and seeing the world through your child’s eyes. Over the past few years, I have supported neurodiverse learners through carefully designed, evidence-based lessons that build confidence, independence, and genuine progress.

I help children develop not only academic skills but also resilience, curiosity, and self-belief. The foundations for lifelong learning.

Rooted in empathy. Guided by expertise. Built for real, lasting growth.

SERVICES

PRIVATE Tuition

I offer bespoke one-to-one tuition for children up to Key Stage 2. Each session is carefully tailored to the individual child, building on their strengths, interests and learning style to support meaningful progress.

My approach focuses on both academic development and helping children feel confident and motivated in their learning. By creating a calm and supportive environment, I help children engage with their work, take risks in their learning and feel proud of what they achieve.

Specialist SEN Support

I provide specialist support for children with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, speech and language differences, and other developmental or medical needs. Support is tailored to the individual child and may focus on building communication, emotional regulation, learning strategies and confidence alongside academic development.

I also work in partnership with schools and Local Authorities to deliver specialist provision for children with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).

School Support & Interventions

I work closely with schools to provide targeted support for pupils who benefit from additional guidance within the classroom or through structured interventions. This may include in-class support, small group work, or individual sessions designed to strengthen key skills.

My focus is on helping pupils access learning more confidently while supporting teachers and staff to create strategies that can be sustained within the school environment.

Student Mentoring

Alongside academic support, I offer mentoring to help children develop confidence, resilience and independence in their learning. These sessions focus on helping pupils understand their strengths, manage challenges and develop positive learning habits.

By building a strong and trusting relationship, I support children to feel more secure in themselves and more confident in navigating both school and everyday challenges.

TESTIMONIALS

"Amelia is patient, kind, and deeply attentive to my daughter’s needs. In a homeschooling context, she has taken the time to truly understand how my daughter learns best, adapting sessions to support both her confidence and emotional wellbeing. We have seen a noticeable positive change in her engagement with learning."

"Amelia has helped us reduce stress and create far more positive experiences around homework, which has been an amazing accomplishment for our family. Our specific challenges are addressed in a calm, understanding, and encouraging manner, supporting the learning process in ways I am not personally equipped to manage on my own as a concerned and emotionally involved parent. Amelia brings patience, reassurance, and clarity to each session, helping to create a more positive and supportive environment for learning. We are incredibly grateful for the care and support of our lovely tutor, Amelia."

"We are very grateful to have had her support in our home. She worked with my son, who is severely disabled, and showed great patience, kindness, and dedication. She always came prepared to engage him through play and activities, and her efforts made a real difference. One of the most positive changes we noticed was how active and responsive my son became during and after her sessions. She has a natural ability to connect with children and create a positive, encouraging environment. I truly appreciate the care and commitment she showed, and would highly recommend her"

"Amelia is an excellent tutor. She is highly skilled, knowledgable and kind. She has worked with a number of children with diverse needs. In all the cases, her approach has been with the child's needs central to her program. She communicates well with everyone involved and has been successful in her work as all the children have made impressive progress with her support."

My APPROACH

My philosophy is simple: children should be seen, not fixed.

I integrate evidence-based strategies with a deep respect for every learner. Drawing on specialist training and continuous professional development, I create an environment that encourages exploration, risk-taking, and the growth of both confidence and emotional resilience.

ABOUT ME

I am a qualified Early Years Teacher (EYTS) with extensive experience delivering specialist one-to-one teaching and mentoring, both in person and online, for children with a wide range of complex needs.

I am motivated by the progress children make when they feel truly understood, valued, and celebrated for who they are. My approach builds on each child’s natural interests and motivations, ensuring that learning feels positive, engaging, and empowering.

Alongside up-to-date safeguarding training, I hold a qualification in the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-2) and undertake ongoing professional development in areas including dyscalculia, inclusive communication, and trauma-informed teaching. I have supported children with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, speech and language differences, and a range of medical and developmental needs.

Collaboration sits at the heart of my work. I work closely with parents and other professionals to ensure that each programme aligns with wider educational and therapeutic goals, supporting children to develop confidence, connection, and resilience.
